Maria Climbs To The Challenge
On the 10th June, eight brave volunteers took part in the Snowdon 3 peak trek challenge. For sure it wasn’t a few days for sun cream and shorts, more like waterproofs and wellies as the weather took a turn for the worst just in time for trek. Typical…not tropical!
Here is a determined Maria after day one…
The weather prevented any attempts to climb Snowdon on the first day, therefore the group hit ‘Y Garn’ instead.
After a night sleeping in the ‘rangey’, it was time to stay positive heading into day two…
It was an amazing team effort to fend of the ridiculously hard conditions. Here is the group in great spirits as they reach the highest point they could achieve. Well Done to all!
Maria is now better prepared for the worst if the same weather decides to make another appearance when she takes on the 5 day Mont Blanc Alps Trek in September. Maria is aiming to raise a £5000 fundraising target before the event, in aid of the St.Giles Hospice charity.
