Pin Digital powers websites using renewable energy

14 April 2009

The UK's most recommended hosting provider, Rackspace, have moved their main data centre to a new environmentally friendly location which uses renewable energy.  This new data centre will go some way in helping to reduce the company's dependance on fossil fuel.

The new data centre also uses wooden chips, waste paper and fibre fuel to generate its electricity, steam and hot water.

This need for investment in a new data centre has been pushed through by the yearly growth of Rackspace in the UK.

Steve Noctor, Managing Director of Pin Digital said: "Pin Digital is committed as a company to reducing its carbon footprint.  By partnering with Rackspace we are delighted to be able to offer clients an environmentally friendly hosting solution without compromising on the quality of the service offered.”
