Pin Digital helps to ‘Put Northern Warwickshire on the map’

30 June 2005

Pin Digital were successfully awarded the project to develop the Northern Warwickshire Tourism Association (NWTA) website, www.visitnorthernwarwickshire.com, after being invited to tender against two other companies.

The aim of the NWTA is to ‘Put Northern Warwickshire on the Map’ and show people that there is a lot more to Warwickshire than Warwick Castle and Stratford-Upon-Avon!

The website was developed using the Microsoft .NET framework and includes a full Content Management System which enables members of NWTA to easily update the content on the website.

The website also includes a full event management system which automatically adds and removes events from the website to keep it looking current and up to date.

Their was a requirement for the NWTA members to be able to maintain the information about their individual organisations on the new website. To enable this members were given individual access to the user friendly content management system with content that was locked down to just their information. For those with limited computer experience it is as easy as using MS Word!

The website has already won praise from Warwickshire County Council, North Warwickshire Borough Council, Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council and Midlands Today Presenter Kay Alexander. Kay was responsible for launching the website by releasing 100 balloons. She said the website was ‘wonderful’ and one of the best websites she had ever used! Kay really pleased to be involved in promoting the area and urged everyone to log on and have a look at the website.
