Pin Digital go 'Back to School'
30 September 2005
Students, parents and staff of Holy Trinity School in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, are using the internet to keep informed of school news following the launch of their new re-designed web site.
Packed with information, the revamped website is a ‘wow’ with everyone said Headteacher Mrs Wilkinson. "The website is designed with parents and students in mind. Informative and communicative, our new site reflects the school’s inventive, forward thinking and open approach to educational change and progress."
Excellent results sees the school placed 4th most improved school nationally at A level this year and ranked in the top 5% nationally, out of both maintained and independent schools, for value added at GCSE. Mrs Wilkinson commented "We aim to educate the whole person, whether it be sporting, academic, or the arts. Use the website and let us know what you think."
The website was developed using Pin Digital’s bespoke .NET Content Management System and includes easy to use features such as a photo management system, as well as a news and events system.
The news system developed by Pin Digital allows news stories and events to be categorised. This makes it quick easy for uses to find stories and announcements relevant to their section of the school. What's more everything can be easily updated in house by any member of the school's staff.
The website has helped Holy Trinity to become much ‘greener’ by helping to substantially reduce the number of letters sent out to parents and friends of the school. The website has become the focal point for news stories, events and announcements for the entire school community.
Colin Jaggs, Pin Digital’s Senior Developer commented, “It’s been a real pleasure working with Holy Trinity. The website has allowed the school to really showcase itself as a fantastic educational institution.”
