Case Study

The Client
The Publicity Association of Central England (PACE) was formed
in 1912 to provide a forum for informal contact between professionals working
in the media and marketing communications industries in the Midlands. It offers
an opportunity for professional development, mutual support and networking
through its programme of activities. The emphasis is on sharing experiences
with likeminded people in a relaxed atmosphere, whilst at the same time raising
money for good causes.
The Challenge
PACE wanted to produce a website to promote their activities and appeal to
people who work within the advertising, marketing, media and creative
industries. The website needed to appeal to three key groups:
-
The first challenge was to keep existing members up to date with the latest
news and forthcoming activities.
-
The second challenge was to recruit new members to PACE by publicising the many
benefits of membership.
-
The third requirement was to keep the world at large informed of their
activities including charity work, events and general information regarding
PACE.
To achieve this, the new website needed to be interesting, friendly, creative,
easy to use and professional.
The Solution
PACE already had a strong visual identity and Pin Digital used
this as the foundation of the new site design. It was intended that the website
would further help to increase recognition of this brand.
The navigation on the new website was redesigned and the incorporation of a
dynamic sitemap and a keyword search facility helped make the location of
information even easier.
With the use of a Content Management System the website is easily updateable
ensuring information and details of forthcoming events are up-to-date and
post-activity news gets publicised in a timely manner. With the addition
of a dynamic events calendar users can even search for future events by date.
All this helps to ensure the website reflects PACE's strategies and associated
goals and provides easy opportunities for feedback/enquiries.
Finally Pin Digital developed an e-marketing system to enable easy
communication with members. The system automates the facility for users to opt
out of a mailing list, ensuring you comply with the latest legislation
concerning e-mail communications and ‘Spam’.
The new design also gives recognition to the organisations that help support
PACE such as Heart FM, new BRMB, Galaxy 102.2 and Pin Digital.
The Bottom Line
Since the re-launch of the PACE website, the number of visitors to the website
has increased significantly. The new website is helping the two-way
communication processes with members by allowing and encouraging PACE
membership feedback.
With comprehensive up-to-date content the website is helping PACE to become the
‘voice of the industry’ in the Central England region.
|
Thanks to Pin Digital, PACE now have a website that truly reflects the
organisation and its goals. We received some really positive feedback when we
re-launched and it is certainly helping us to better communicate with our
members.”
